Audible Gift Membership UK: How Gifting Works

Two ways to give Audible

• A gift membership: bought from the Audible gift centre on Audible.co.uk. When we checked on 14 October 2026, we could not find an Audible gift membership for sale on Amazon.co.uk itself.
• A single audiobook: Audible audiobook pages on Amazon.co.uk show a Give as a gift option, so you can send one specific title.

How the recipient redeems a gift membership

According to Audible's redemption page, the recipient:

• Opens the gift email and selects Redeem your gift.
• Selects Redeem in the Gift centre.
• Signs in with an Amazon account, or creates a new one.

If the email link does not work, they can enter the claim code on Audible's gift redemption page instead. Audible says claim codes are case-sensitive, so they should be entered exactly as shown.

What if they are already an Audible member?

Audible says existing members can still redeem a gift membership. Instead of being moved onto the gift plan, they receive all the credits from the gift at once. The gift does not replace or extend their current membership, and if they are on a paid plan they are still charged on their next billing date.

What if they already own the audiobook you gifted?

Audible says that if someone redeems a gifted title they already own, the purchaser is refunded instead: a credit if the gift was bought with a credit, or a refund to the original card if it was bought with a card.

Gift membership or the £0.99 offer?

If the person has never had Audible, it may be worth telling them about the current Amazon offer instead. At the time of writing, eligible new members can join Audible Standard on Amazon.co.uk for £0.99 a month for the first 3 months, then £5.99 a month, ending 28 December 2026 per Amazon.
