Our top picks
Best overall: Coco Wyo: Cozy Countdown, An Advent Colouring Book Bundle (£24.98). Our overall pick from the Coco Wyo range of cute, cosy colouring books. The listing describes it as an advent colouring book bundle, which makes it the most giftable option here.
Best budget: Sylvanian Families Cosy Christmas: Advent Calendar Colouring (£5.99). The budget pick and a good one for younger children who know the Sylvanian Families characters. It is published by Macmillan Children's Books and described as an advent calendar colouring book.
Best for families: Advent Calendar Vol. 3 Christmas Coloring Book, 25 Bold and Easy Designs (£8.63). A bold and easy book with 25 designs according to its title, so there is a page for Christmas Day too. Thick outlines and simple shapes suit children and adults alike, so the whole family can share the pages.
Other advent colouring books
The Cosy Christmas Village: An Advent Calendar Colouring Book for Adults (£9.98). A themed book for adults. The title says it has 24 festive village scenes, building up a Christmas village over the countdown.
Advent Calendar Colouring Book: Christmas Mandalas for Adults (£7.19). The most detailed style here. Mandala patterns take longer and suit fine pens or sharp pencils, for adults who want a more absorbing page each day.
What to look for in an advent calendar colouring book
Bold and easy or detailed. Bold and easy books have thick lines and big spaces, which suit children, beginners and markers. Mandalas and village scenes take longer and suit fine pens or pencils.
Numbered pages. A numbered book makes the countdown clear; check whether it has 24 pages or 25 if you want one for Christmas Day.
Single-sided pages. If you use felt tips or alcohol markers, single-sided pages stop colour bleeding into the next picture. Check the listing or the look inside photos.
Who it is for. Character books, like the Sylvanian Families one, suit young children, while the mandala and village books are aimed at adults.
Paper size. A larger book is easier for small hands and for detailed designs; the size is shown in the product details on Amazon.
Pens and pencils. A colouring book with a set of pencils or pens makes a fuller gift for someone just starting out.
Cutting out. Some people cut finished pages out to use as decorations or cards, so a book with perforated or single-sided pages is easier for that.
Budget. Prices in this guide ran from £5.99 to £24.98 when we checked.
How we chose these picks
We only included products that were in stock on Amazon UK with a single live buy-box price in pounds when we checked on 26 October 2026, read with a UK delivery address. We skipped listings showing low stock, long delivery dates or unclear details, and we avoided repeating products already featured in our other gift guides. Descriptions are based on what each listing says; we have not tested these products ourselves, and we have not used star ratings or review counts.

Frequently asked questions
Are colouring books good for adults?
Many adults colour to relax and switch off from screens, which is why so many colouring books are aimed at adults. Several books in this guide, including the mandala and Cosy Christmas Village books, are written for adults.
What makes a good colouring book?
Clear outlines, a style that matches the colourer's patience, and paper that suits their pens. Bold and easy designs suit children and beginners, while mandalas suit people who like fine detail.
