What to look for in a Jurassic World advent calendar

Official or not. Only the Mattel calendars here are Jurassic World products. The others are general dinosaur calendars, which can be a good, cheaper choice for a child who simply loves dinosaurs.

Film or series. The £20.00 Mattel calendar is themed on the original Jurassic Park film, while the £23.23 calendar is based on the Chaos Theory series, so pick the one your child watches.

Number of days. Most calendars have 24 doors, but the Chaos Theory calendar has 12 days according to its listing, so it will not cover the whole of December.

Figure size. Mattel's mini figures are small; the Chaos Theory listing says its dinosaurs are core scale, so they fit with other Jurassic World toys.

Age and small parts. Mini figures and egg pieces are small, so check the age guidance on the box for younger siblings.

Mess. Dig-out egg calendars involve chipping and brushing, so they are better at a table than in a bedroom.

After Christmas. Figure calendars leave a collection that can be played with all year, and some Mattel pieces build a small play scene.

Budget. Prices in this guide ran from £13.99 to £23.23 when we checked, and character calendars can sell out before December.

How we chose these picks

We only included products that were in stock on Amazon UK with a single live buy-box price in pounds when we checked on 26 October 2026, read with a UK delivery address.
