Buying advice
Our top picks
Best overall: PopManko Teacher Gifts, 6 Notebooks, Pens and Bags (£8.98). A good choice if you want to thank several staff at once. The listing says it includes six notebooks, six gift bags and six ballpoint pens, with notebook sayings such as 'It takes a big heart to help shape little minds'.
Best budget: Augenstern Teacher Appreciation Journals and Pens, 2 Sets (£8.99). The cheapest pick. The listing says it has two A5 leather-look notebooks and two metal pens engraved 'Best Teacher Ever', so two members of staff get a matching gift.
Best for the whole room: Dsclavacy Christmas Scented Candles, 6 Pack (£12.99). A festive treat for the staff room. The listing says there are six soy wax candles of 80g each in scents including cinnamon apple, fir, lemon and lavender, with 12 to 15 hours of burning time per tin.
Other gifts for nursery teachers

YONTINY Teacher Mug Gift Set, 20oz (£9.99). A practical set for a busy day. The listing says the box has an insulated cup, a stainless steel straw and brush, a teacher bracelet and a greeting card.
What to look for in a gift for a nursery teacher
Budget. Most parents spend a small amount on each member of staff or club together for one larger gift. The picks here cost between £8.98 and £12.99 when we checked.
Think about the team. Nursery children are often cared for by several adults, so multi-packs that can be split between staff, or one treat for the staff room, can be fairer than a single gift.
Useful beats novelty. Notebooks, pens and an insulated cup are things staff can use at work. Many already have plenty of mugs and ornaments.
Add a card or drawing. A note from the parent or a picture from the child is often valued as much as the gift itself.
Check nursery policy. Some nurseries, especially council-run settings, have a policy on staff accepting gifts, so it is worth checking if you are planning something more expensive.
Allergies and scents. Some people are sensitive to scented products, and candles cannot usually be lit in a nursery, so a candle set is a gift for home.
Delivery date. Check the delivery date on Amazon so the gifts arrive before the nursery closes for Christmas.
How we chose these picks
We only included products that were in stock on Amazon UK with a single live buy-box price in pounds when we checked on 26 October 2026, read with a UK delivery address. We skipped listings showing low stock, long delivery dates or unclear details, and we avoided repeating products already featured in our other gift guides. Descriptions are based on what each listing says; we have not tested these products ourselves, and we have not used star ratings or review counts.

Frequently asked questions
What to get a nursery teacher for Christmas?
Small, practical thank-you gifts work well, such as a notebook and pen, an insulated cup or a treat for the staff room. A card or drawing from the child is a nice addition.
How much to spend on a nursery teacher gift?
There is no set amount. Many parents spend a few pounds per member of staff or club together with other parents for one larger gift. Every pick in this guide was under £12.99 when we checked.
Do you buy nursery staff Christmas presents?
Many parents do, but it is not expected. A card, a small gift for the key worker or a shared treat for the staff room are all common ways to say thank you.
