Our top picks

What to look for in a gift for a housekeeper
Budget. Many people give a small gift, a card or a little extra money at Christmas. The picks here cost between £7.00 and £15.00 when we checked.
Hand care is practical. Regular cleaning dries out the skin, so a good hand cream is something they are likely to use every day.
Scents and sensitive skin. If you are not sure what they like, a lightly scented or sensitive skin product is a safer choice.
Card or cash. Some people prefer to give a Christmas bonus or an extra session's pay instead of, or as well as, a gift. A small present with a card is also a kind gesture.
Agency cleaners. If your cleaner comes through an agency, it is worth checking whether the agency has any rules on gifts.
Keep it personal. A handwritten note saying thank you for the year often means as much as the gift.
Delivery date. Check the delivery date on Amazon so the gift arrives before their last visit before Christmas.
How we chose these picks
We only included products that were in stock on Amazon UK with a single live buy-box price in pounds when we checked on 26 October 2026, read with a UK delivery address. We skipped listings showing low stock, long delivery dates or unclear details, and we avoided repeating products already featured in our other gift guides. Descriptions are based on what each listing says; we have not tested these products ourselves, and we have not used star ratings or review counts.

What to get a cleaning lady for Christmas?
Practical treats such as a hand cream set or a pamper gift work well, as cleaning is hard on the hands. Many people also add a card or a little extra money as a Christmas thank-you.
Should I give my cleaner a Christmas gift?
It is not required, but many people give their cleaner a small gift, a card or some extra money at Christmas to say thank you for the year.
