A cat advent calendar hides a small treat or toy behind each door from 1 December, so your cat can join in the Christmas countdown. Most are treat calendars from pet food brands, and a few toy-filled boxes suit cats that need to watch their weight. This guide shortlists four cat advent calendars you can buy on Amazon UK for Christmas 2026, priced from £6 to about £24 when we checked. It shows which boxes put 2026 in the Amazon title and which don't state a year, and explains what to check before you buy: the minimum age on the pack, the ingredients, the treat size and how the extra treats fit your cat's daily food allowance. Prices change often, so check the live price on Amazon before you buy.

Our picks
- Best overall: Meowee! Christmas Cat Advent Calendar. It has 24 treats made with natural chicken and fish, and at under £7 when we checked it's an easy, low-cost choice for most adult cats.
- Best budget: Rosewood Cupid & Comet Luxury Deli Advent Calendar for Cats. It holds 24 meaty treats of freeze-dried chicken and duck (30g in total) and was the lowest-priced calendar in this guide. The Amazon listing says it suits all life stages and is intended for intermittent feeding only. Some Amazon reviewers say the treats are dry and on the large side, so break them into smaller pieces if your cat tends to gulp food.
- Best toy calendar: iZoeL Cat Advent Calendar for Indoor Cats. It swaps treats for 24 Christmas cat toys, including a collar, a bow tie, a feather teaser, a toy fish, a fake mouse and bell balls, and the Amazon title says 2026. It adds no extra calories, so it suits cats on a diet.
The other calendar in this guide
- Martha's Advent Calendar for Cats. It holds 120 chicken-bite treats (96g in total), which is far more treats than the 24-door calendars. That makes it a good fit for homes with more than one cat, but follow the feeding guide so a single cat doesn't get too many.
What to look for
- Age suitability. Check the pack before you buy for a kitten. Lily's Kitchen, for example, labels its cat calendar for adult cats from 6 months, while the Rosewood Luxury Deli calendar lists all life stages on Amazon.
- Treats or toys. Treat calendars are the most common. A toy calendar avoids extra calories, and PDSA suggests play and grooming as treats that don't involve food.
- Ingredients. If your cat has allergies or a sensitive stomach, read the full ingredient list on the listing. Only buy calendars made for cats, and never give a cat a human chocolate calendar, because chocolate is toxic to cats (RSPCA).
- Daily allowance. PDSA recommends that treats make up no more than 10% of your cat's daily food allowance, with their usual food reduced by the same amount.
- Toy safety. Supervise play with small toys, bells and feather teasers, and put them away afterwards. The RSPCA warns that swallowed string, ribbon or yarn can cause severe internal damage.
- Edition. Some Amazon cat calendar listings reuse older product copy, so if you want this year's box, check the year in the title and description.
- Ornament calendars. Several "cat advent calendars" on Amazon are acrylic or PVC cat ornaments for people, not gifts for cats. We've left those out of this guide.

Frequently asked questions
Where can I get a cat advent calendar?
Amazon UK sells cat advent calendars from brands including Rosewood (Cupid & Comet), Meowee!, Martha's and Lily's Kitchen, plus toy-filled boxes such as iZoeL. Pet retailers sell their own too: Pets at Home has a Seriously Good cat calendar and zooplus sells a Purizon one. If you want a 2026 edition, check the year on the listing.
What age can kittens have treats?
Check the pack, because it varies by product. Lily's Kitchen says its cat advent calendar is for adult cats from 6 months, while the Rosewood Luxury Deli cat calendar lists "All Life Stages" on Amazon. If your kitten is very young or on a special diet, ask your vet first.
How many treats should a cat have a day?
There's no fixed number. PDSA recommends treats make up no more than 10% of your cat's daily food allowance, with their usual food reduced by the same amount. How many treats that means depends on the treat, so follow the feeding guide on the calendar. Rosewood's listing, for example, says its calendar is intended for intermittent feeding only.
What happens if a cat eats chocolate?
Chocolate contains theobromine, which is toxic to cats as well as dogs, and dark chocolate is the most dangerous (RSPCA). If your cat eats any, phone your vet, who can work out how serious it is. Keep human chocolate advent calendars and chocolate coins out of reach; the RSPCA also warns that cats may chew the foil wrappers.
How to make a cat advent calendar?
Use cat-safe items only, such as a small portion of your cat's usual treats or a small toy behind each door. Keep the treats within PDSA's guide of no more than 10% of daily food. Avoid chocolate, grapes, raisins and anything containing xylitol, plus string, ribbon or yarn, which the RSPCA says can cause severe internal damage if swallowed.
